Who it is for, and what it is
- Who is A Place to Land for?
- Adults aged 18 and over. A Place to Land is operated from the United Kingdom and is open to members who live elsewhere.
- What is A Place to Land?
- A private written space to bring what is happening in you, write in your own time, and receive a thoughtful personal response from Teri.
- What is it not?
- It is not therapy and it is not crisis support. There is no diagnosis and no treatment plan. It is not monitored 24 hours a day, and there is no live back-and-forth. It is a private written space for reflective, relational support.
Blocks and cost
- How much does it cost?
- An introductory week is £29, available once, to see how it feels. After that, one month is £129 and three months is £329. These are founding prices, offered for a limited time (usually £39, £195 and £525). If you join at a founding price, you keep it for every later block.
- Can I have the introductory week more than once?
- No. The introductory week is for a first block only. After that the choice is one month or three months.
- Does anything renew?
- No. Every block is one payment. Nothing renews and no card is charged automatically. Your block ends on a stated date. You are invited to choose again rather than be charged again.
Teri's responses
- When does Teri respond?
- Teri reads and responds on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Anything received before 10am UK time on one of those days is included in that day's responses. Anything received after 10am rolls over to the next response day.
- Will Teri answer every point I make?
- Not necessarily. Teri reads everything you choose to send and responds to what seems most important in what you have shared, rather than working through every point one by one. Every reply comes from Teri herself.
- Who can read what I write?
- Your private writing is private to you. Teri reads only what you choose to send her, and nobody else reads any of it.
During and after a block
- What happens at the end of a block?
- At the end of every block Teri writes you a closing reflection. Everything you have written stays yours to read. If you want to continue, you choose one month or three months.
- Can I pause?
- Yes. If something urgent takes over you can pause for 24 or 48 hours, and that time is added back to the end of your block. If you need longer, write to Teri and she will arrange it with you.
- What if cost stands in the way?
- If you would like to be here but cost is getting in the way, please write to me. We can have a conversation about what might be possible. Whatever we agree, you will receive exactly the same care and support as anyone else.
- Why are places limited?
- Teri reads everything herself, so she holds twenty places at a time. When they are all taken you can put your name on the waiting list, and I will write to you the moment a place opens. There is nothing to pay while you wait.
